全国各地をツアーで回るパンク、ハードコアのバンドに「今熱い街はどこか」と聞けば、新庄の名が挙がらないことはないだろう。どの土地にもそれぞれの独自性はあるが、新庄にはたくさんの手作りの夢が広がっている。自らの手で遊び場を作り、そこに多くの若者たちが集う。仲間が仲間を呼び、輪が大きくなっていく。ライブハウス、バー、タトゥー、ガレージ、そしてバイク。音楽だけでは括れない遊びと生活が交差し、それぞれが思い思いのやり方で街を面白くしていく。これを文化と言わずして何と言おうか。そしてその中心にいるのがD.N.Kなのである。

The long-awaited debut album from D.N.K, a six-piece HIGHWAY R&R HARDCORE PUNK band based in Shinjo, Yamagata, and active all across Japan, is finally here!
Ask any punk or hardcore band touring the country where the hottest scene is right now, and Shinjo is bound to come up. Every town has its own character, but Shinjo is full of dreams built by hand. People there have created their own places to hang out, and young kids gather there. Friends bring more friends, and the circle keeps growing. Live venues, bars, tattoos, garages, and motorcycles. Play and everyday life cross paths in ways that go beyond just music, and everyone is making the town more fun in their own way. If that isn't a culture, what is? And right at the center of it all is D.N.K.
With twin vocals, twin guitars, and a rhythm section making up six members, the essence of D.N.K's rock'n'roll is simple: FULL THROTTLE GO AHEAD. Anchored by a rock-solid rhythm section, the twin guitars shine from both sides, driving forward with hooks while always leaning into the charge.
